Research & Brainstorm
Current Album Cover
“Give Me A Minute”, Lizzy McAlpine’s debut album, is a deeply introspective indie folk record that navigates the complexities of love, heartbreak, and personal growth.
Redesigning
The current photography of the album is sentimental, but does not make an accurate homage to the themes of the album. With a redesign, I wanted to focus on the vital aspects of self love and vulnerability that is reflected in the lyricism throughout the record.

Tattoo & Nudity Element
My subject had various tattoos, and we had a discussion on her tattoos and their value to her self-expression. This sparked the idea to have the album cover as a “tattoo” on her bare back, representing the theme of vulnerability and personal identity in McAlpine’s album.

Color & Lighting
The warmth of the photographs compared to the darkness of the background represents the warmth of finding yourself through difficult times.
